What we offer
At Bridges of Blount County, we believe recovery is possible when you are supported by others, committed to growth, and open to change. Our program is rooted in the 12-step model, and we require new participants to:
- Attend weekly recovery meetings
- Have a sponsor
- Work the 12 steps
core services:
- Assessment and Intake – We begin with a comprehensive assessment to tailor services based on individual needs and recovery goals.
- Individualized Recovery Plans – Each resident works with staff to create a personalized recovery plan that outlines their goals and support requirements.
- Supportive Community Engagement – Residents participate in group activities, fostering community and support among peers while enhancing recovery experiences.
- Ongoing Evaluation and Adjustment – We continually evaluate each woman’s progress, adjusting support services and strategies to ensure successful recovery transitions.
- Weekly House Meetings – Goal setting, check-ins, and accountability with staff and peers.
- Experienced Mentorship – Guidance from people who understand the challenges of early recovery.
- 12-Step Support & Spiritual Growth – Building a strong foundation of faith and personal responsibility.
- Job Placement & Resume Building – Support to re-enter the workforce with confidence.
- Money Management Skills – Learn to budget and handle finances responsibly.
- Community Resources & Referrals – Assistance connecting to outside programs, services, and opportunities.
- Life Skills Training – From household responsibilities to long-term planning.
- Drug Screening Services – Regular and reliable accountability.
- Judicial Cooperation – We work with courts, probation, and legal agencies to ensure compliance.
- Ongoing Support After Graduation – Our care doesn’t stop when residents leave; we continue offering encouragement, resources, and accountability to help maintain long-term recovery.
- Active Alumni Network – Graduates are always welcome back to share their stories, attend events, and stay connected with the Bridges community.
- Mentorship Opportunities for Alumni – Alumni are encouraged to return and serve as mentors, providing guidance and hope to new residents.
- Community Events & Reunions – Alumni are invited to special gatherings that strengthen bonds and celebrate progress together.
- Lifetime Connection to Bridges – Recovery is a journey, and once you’re part of Bridges, you always have a place to come home to.
Amenities

Who Can Participate
Our program is open to females who are ready to take the next step in recovery. To qualify, participants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Have a history of substance use or alcoholism
- Be willing to participate in a structured recovery program
- Have the desire to abstain from mind- and mood-altering substances
- Be able to speak English
- Not be pregnant
- Not be on the sex offender registry (SO registry)
- Be able to physically care for themselves
